What is your favorite thing about Jesus?
My favorite thing about Jesus is how radically he loves people who the world overlooks: the poor, the suffering, the rejected, the oppressed. He doesn't just tell us to love them; he identifies himself with them: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.” And then, from the Cross, he gives us his own mother: “Behold, your mother.” I love that Jesus doesn't keep his love at a distance. He brings us into his family and gives us even his mother.

What is your favorite thing about being Catholic?
My favorite part of being Catholic is that our faith actually becomes tangible. The Church doesn't just tell us to love the poor; we've spent 2,000 years building a civilization around that command: hospitals, schools, orphanages, food pantries, homeless shelters, missions, soup kitchens, disaster relief, etc etc ... selfless care for people society often forgets.  Because that is our faith.  PRAISE GOD!!
