Vocations Committees are proven to transform parishes. Every parish in the Archdiocese can begin to regularly and normally produce new vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life and Catholic marriage - regardless of size or demographics. These lay-led groups normalize a culture of yes at the parish level. Changing the mindset about vocations at the local level changes everything.
2.Called By Name | Spring 2024
Over the course of three Sundays, each parish in the Archdiocese will invite parishioners to submit the names of individuals who may have a calling to the priesthood or religious life. Those individuals then receive a letter from the Archbishop inviting them to begin discerning their vocation. Called By Name has been the biggest game-changer for the dioceses with the most vocations, with some reporting 300x growth.
3.Quo Vadis | Summer 2024
This summer, all high-school aged young men from throughout the Archdiocese will be invited to an immersive discernment experience in which they are taught how to grow in personal relationship with Jesus, to cultivate a lifelong love of prayer, healthy friendship and respond generously to God’s call for their lives, whatever that may be.
