Priest of the Archdiocese of Hartford

Founder of the Knights of Columbus
“To meet him was at once to trust him; children actually loved him; and the very old people of the neighborhood, whom he hunted up and who got part of his time even on busiest days, called him a positive saint and meant it.” — Fr. Joseph Daley, a priest friend of Fr. McGivney's

Blessed Michael McGivney could be the first American-born priest to become a Saint.

He was born in Waterbury.  He served in New Haven and Thomaston.
